Why is there an induction session?

This is to cover the basics to introduce new students to the training academy and admin.

What should I bring to training sessions?

Students are expected to wear clean trainers, shorts or jogging bottoms, and a t-shirt or gym vest. Sports bras are recommended for ladies.

Personal hygiene is very important Due to close contact while wrestling, good hygiene is critical. Wrestlers are expected to wear clean gym gear to every session and bring their own towel to dry yourself down.

Stay Hydrated As with all athletic endeavour you must stay hydrated, remember to bring water with you. You should drink 2 litres of water per day, more if you are taking part in sports and activities such as wrestling.

Specialist equipment isn't needed straight away but we do advise that in time you invest in some knee and elbow pads to protect your joints and some amateur style wrestling or boxing boots to help support your ankles (these can be picked up at a reasonable price).

Will I get to wrestle on shows?

SEPW also produces main events and trainee live events. If you work hard to perfect your wrestling skills you will gain the opportunity to showcase them on our live events in front of hundreds of people whilst working alongside experienced professional wrestlers who will be able to offer advice to help further your wrestling education. Please note, for the safety of yourself and others only those that train hard will be put on live events.

Can children take part?

Currently we only accept students who are 15 years and above.

We have recently started offering parties geared towards children, so please take a look at our 'Hire Us' page for more information.

Do I need to be fit?

Whilst we expect you to have a reasonable level of fitness this is something we can help improve during training sessions.

What facilities are at the training centre?

Free parking is available.

Toilets, showers and basic kitchen area is available on site.

Still not sure? Come along to one of our training sessions, meet the coach and students and observe what we do, there is no pressure to join in.

NOTE: The more you time and energy you invest in your training, the more you will get out of it. Sessions are coached by the South East Professional Wrestling event producer, Matthew Huntley, who will be on the lookout for the next South East Superstars.
